AMSTERDAM, Monday 17 January 2022 - Maven 11 Capital, the Amsterdam-founded blockchain and crypto asset investment firm, has appointed Martijn van Veen as a partner and director for its asset management business, effective January 1st of this year. Van Veen brings over two decades of trading and fund management experience and has held several senior roles in portfolio management and business development, including positions at hedge funds and investment boutique Dasym.

In his new position, Van Veen will lead Maven 11’s development as an asset manager in digital assets with products like open-end funds, managed accounts and others. Van Veen: “It is evident that this growing asset class is gaining more and more traction among (semi-) institutional investors, and Maven 11 is very well positioned to play an important role within this development”.
Maven 11 Capital was founded in 2015 and has run a venture investment approach since 2017. Last December, Maven 11 Capital announced the closing of its second fund, Blockchain Venture Fund II, at $ 120 million. With the fresh funding Maven 11 Capital is set to continue to back phenomenal projects from inception to launch.
